Join us for a meaningful Maundy Thursday service on April 2nd at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. This sacred gathering commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus shared a final meal with His disciples before His arrest and crucifixion for our salvation. Through scripture, reflection, and the sharing of the Lord’s Supper, we remember this powerful moment together, as if seated in the upper room alongside Him. Come experience a moving and reverent service as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
Good Friday Service
April 3rd @ 6:30 p.m.
Join us for a meaningful Good Friday service on April 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This special evening will guide us through the Scriptures recounting Jesus’ journey to the cross, culminating in His final words.
It is a powerful and reflective service, reminding us of the sacrifice Jesus made so that we could have a restored relationship with God. While it is a solemn night of remembrance, it also points us toward hope—because we know that Sunday is coming.

Easter Sunday Kids Egg Hunt at Benton Hall
Join us on Easter Sunday for a fun-filled Kids Easter Egg Hunt in Benton Hall at 10:00 a.m.! We warmly invite all children to bring their Easter egg baskets and get ready for an exciting time finding eggs and making joyful memories.
Whether you’re attending our 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. service, we encourage you to plan around the egg hunt—come early or stay after and let your kids join in the fun. There will be more eggs than they can imagine, plenty of laughter, and something special for everyone.
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate together, so don’t miss out. It’s going to be a blast for kids and a joyful experience for the whole family!

April 5th @ 7:00, 9:00, & 11:00 a.m.
You are warmly invited to celebrate Easter with us at First United Methodist Church Van Alstyne! This is a day of joy, hope, and new life as we remember and rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We will begin our Easter celebration early with a special Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. at the Central Social District in downtown Van Alstyne. There is something truly powerful about gathering together to worship as the sun rises—reminding us that over 2,000 years ago, the tomb was found empty and our Savior is alive! Come experience this meaningful and inspiring start to Easter morning.
After the sunrise service, we will continue our celebration at our main sanctuary at First UMC Van Alstyne with two unique worship opportunities:
9:00 a.m. – Contemporary Service
Our contemporary service features a live band leading us in uplifting praise songs. This service is energetic, engaging, and centered on celebrating the joy of Easter. At the conclusion, we will share in Holy Communion together as we honor and remember the greatest day in history.
11:00 a.m. - Traditional Service
Our traditional service offers a more classic worship experience, with our choir leading beautiful songs and the congregation joining together in beloved hymns. This service also concludes with Holy Communion as we celebrate the resurrection and the hope we have in Christ.
No matter which service you attend, you will find a welcoming community coming together to worship our
King and celebrate the victory of life over death.
